Sheryl-Underwood

Sheryl Underwood is an American actress who is also a comedian, host and TV actress most well-known for her work in The Talk's daytime co-host role. Sheryl was born in Little Rock and grew up in Little Rock. Sheryl was raised in the midst of a challenging family. She spent most her childhood watching over her sick sister Frankie. When she was a child, she had a difficult relationship to her maternal grandmother. Sheryl asserts that in the past, her mother would stab her father due to him becoming too close to her. Sheryl was drafted into the military upon her college graduation. Her interest in comedy became more pronounced. In 1989 she was the first woman to reach the top of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. In 1992, she made her TV debut as a regular performer in the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she appeared as host of the television program Oh Drama! In 2011, she began participating on The Talk as co-host. Furthermore, she's appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series like Bulworth Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
